No two commissions are ever the same. Every piece is individually designed to complement both the furniture and the home it belongs in. Here are two bespoke transformations, each thoughtfully created to reflect the client's home and personal style.
Vintage Writing Bureau
Elegant exterior. Retro-inspired interior.
Created for a local client who wanted a timeless exterior with a surprise inside, this vintage writing bureau was transformed with an elegant black finish, opening to reveal a vibrant retro-inspired interior. Thoughtfully designed together, it's the hidden details that make this one-of-a-kind piece so special.
She is GORGEOUS Michelle; I just love her! Thank you so much. From start to finish you kept me informed, helped me make decisions and guided me whenever I was unsure. Your patience and skill are amazing.
Vintage Pine Bedside Tables
Thoughtfully updated to complement a beautiful new home
Moving into a new home is the perfect opportunity to create a space you truly love. Designed in collaboration with the client, these vintage pine bedside tables were transformed to complement her fitted wardrobes, featuring a timeless neutral colour palette, carefully lightened natural wood tops and updated hardware. The result is a pair that blend beautifully into the room while retaining all the character of the original furniture.
Michelle was so easy to work with from start to finish. She even visited our home to colour match our fitted wardrobes, kept us updated throughout the transformation and delivered two bedside tables that are exactly what we wanted and more. The quality is incredible – they now look like truly bespoke pieces of furniture that will last a lifetime.

Kind Words from My Clients
Michelle created my perfect vintage writing bureau. From the moment we first spoke, I knew the whole experience was going to be special. She patiently guided me through every decision, from colours and drawer knobs to the interior details and decorative edging. When my bureau arrived, I was absolutely bowled over – it is literally the most beautiful thing I've ever owned.
I had the most wonderful day with Michelle on a Furniture Painting For Beginners 1-to-1 Workshop in Stotfold. Having sourced 2 very tired bedside chests I spent the day learning how to restore them to gorgeous! Michelle is a brilliant teacher especially for someone who has never tried anything like this. The day flew by. Will definitely be returning for another course.
The photo doesn't show exactly how gorgeous the serving tray is. It's a beautiful design, very well made and the perfect colour of my favourite flower. I'm so pleased I chose the coasters too—they're gorgeous. Beautifully packaged, fast delivery and I would strongly recommend!
